...It had to happen. As we were told to shut up, eat our food and leave ASAP in a vegan restaurant we both realised we had better things to do such as try to understand Spinoza and the weather. This is an odd city with an even odder expat community. Maybe it's the ganja. Maybe it's the inbred tendency of a small place. Maybe it's the ghost of Calvin. Whatever, this is a city of quirky individuals and we decided if you can't beat them, join them and so we decided to join the Apathetic Inactivists. C'est la vie!

Mobile fashion...

...with Amsterdam Fashion Week just around the corner you can follow the action on Anina's blog. Caroline (picture) has been helping with the mobile blogging workshop. Technology can enable people to communicate and be creative. Leighton has been musing on the Dyslexic Satanist view of Laplace's demon and the treachery of images. Well Caroline has wicked eyes. 360 Fashion in Amsterdam is all about empowerment, and we hear there will be an organic cotton workshop during the week.
The sixth edition of Amsterdam International Fashion Week will take place from the 20th – 28th of January, 2007. The official catwalk schedule will be presented at the main Westergasfabriek show venue, whilst a bustling programme of trade shows, exhibitions, presentations, lectures, film screenings and parties takes place throughout the city.

Paradox by Amsteractive...

...Amsteractive's first short film. I wonder what the next one will be about. Easter eggs? Today I may pop along to Gary's painting class in Makom on the Van Ostade Straat. It's a center for the homeless and they give free art lessons. A few students from the Rietveld art school go there too. It's an interesting collaboration as is of course Genderchangers where I may just pop in incognito on the weekend. I was told by Leighton that there is a magic mushroom party on Saturday. That should be a cool combination with some genderchanging. Are you local?

Cyberamiga goes Amsteractive...

...and joins the team on Amsteractive where I will be sneaking around incognito where no cyberamiga has gone before and checking out cool Amsterdam tips and picking up some hot gossip. The Marcel Proust of Spinoza City will still be eating loads of chocolate and smoking the odd joint speaking of which if you are in town check out the Cannabis College for sensible advice on all matters of hemp and ganja. They are non-profit and really cool and helpful.
